SHIVAMOGGA: A dispute concerning areca sheaths has escalated, leading to a police complaint in Shivamogga. A woman (name withheld) has filed a complaint against her sister and brother-in-law.
According to the complaint, the woman’s sister and her husband allegedly demanded free areca nut sheaths from the woman’s shop. When their request was denied, the sister and her husband reportedly went to the woman’s home late at night. They are accused of slapping the woman’s daughter and throwing a large stone at the front door, causing damage to the iron gate.
A case has been registered at the Tunga Nagar Police Station regarding the incident.
