Sagar: Forest officials have registered a case against three individuals who were allegedly hunting a wild boar and sharing its meat.
The incident occurred in Balegundi village of the taluk, where the three accused were reportedly sharing the meat of a wild boar they had hunted near the village’s lake bund. Forest department personnel raided the location, but the three accused fled the scene.
The accused have been identified as Prabhakar, Ganapati, and Annappa. Forest officials seized four and a half kilograms of wild boar meat from the spot. Deputy Range Forest Officer Kiran, Range Forest Officer Annappa, and staff members Suresh, Basavaraj, and Sunita participated in the operation.
