Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented the ‘Chief Minister’s Medal’ to 25 Forest Department personnel during the valedictory ceremony of the 71st Wildlife Week, held at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha. M. Saleem, a Forest Guard from Shivamogga, was also among those honoured with the medal.
Saleem, a Patrol Forest Guard from Shivamogga, was selected for the 2024 Chief Minister’s Medal for his outstanding service in the Forest Department. Saleem was recognized for his bravery, courage, and significant work in forest development. Saleem, who joined the Forest Department in 2015, has served in the Shivamogga Wildlife Range and the Kogaru Wildlife Range.
He is currently working in the Umblebyle Range. Officials and staff of the department have praised his achievement.
