Shivamogga: A minor argument among friends turned violent in Shivamogga on Sunday night when a group of youth chased down and attacked a man with a stone in an apparent bid to kill him. The incident took place at 6th Cross, Annanagar.
Imtiyaz (37) was set upon by a group of four to five men, who chased him down before hurling a stone at him. The accused, who were reportedly drunk, are alleged to have attacked Imtiyaz following a heated argument that spiralled out of control.
“The seriously injured Imtiyaz was rushed to Meggan Hospital in the city, where he is currently undergoing treatment” said a Police Officer. Doddapete police visited the scene, registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused.
