Shivamogga: The Hajj pilgrimage is considered extremely sacred in the Muslim faith. Every year, training is provided to those embarking on this pilgrimage. For the first time, a training camp has been organized in Shivamogga for pilgrims from four districts,” stated Balkhees Banu, Member of the Legislative Council and District Hajj Committee Coordinator.

Speaking at a press conference, Balkhees Banu announced that a one-day training camp will be held on April 15th at Heaven Palace in Madaripalya, Shivamogga.

#f1f1f1 - POINT 1 A total of 583 pilgrims, including 188 from Shivamogga district, 125 from Hassan, 117 from Chikkamagaluru, and 153 from Davanagere, will participate in the Hajj training camp. An estimated two and a half thousand people are expected to attend the event.

#f1f1f1 - POINT 2 Registration for the campers will begin at 9 AM. Ministers Madhu Bangarappa, Rahim Khan, Zameer Ahmed, MP Raghavendra, and district MLAs have been invited. Lunch arrangements have been made for the participants. The closing ceremony will take place in the evening, she added.

#f1f1f1 - POINT 3 The camp will provide training on what type of clothing to wear during the Hajj pilgrimage and how to perform religious rituals. Vaccination has been made mandatory for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. Vaccinations will be administered to Shivamogga district campers at the camp. Pilgrims from other districts should get vaccinated in their respective districts, she said.

The first flight from the state will depart on April 29th. Flights will operate daily for a full month for the Hajj pilgrimage. Approximately 8,000 people from the state are expected to travel for the pilgrimage.
