Controversial fence removed in Shivamogga amid tight security, surrounding shops shut

Shivamogga : The controversial fence erected at the entrance of the ground in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office was removed amidst tight police security. As a precautionary measure, the surrounding shops were closed before the removal.

A fence was erected at the entrance of the ground in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, which had become a controversy. Hindu organization activists had protested and demanded the removal of the fence.

The municipal council staff removed the fence, and as a precautionary measure, the police have placed barricades in the area where the fence was erected. The police have also tightened security around the ground, deploying additional personnel and restricting public vehicle movement and pedestrian traffic.

Furthermore, all shops, offices, and hotels on Tilak Nagar Main Road were closed as a precautionary measure during the fence removal operation. Streetlights in the area were also switched off, and public transportation was restricted.

Additional SP Anil Kumar Bhoomareddy, Additional SP Kariyappa, and DYSP Sanjeev Kumar, along with inspectors, sub-inspectors, and other police personnel were present during the operation.
