Vijayendra’s speech amid heavy rain in Shivamogga

Shivamogga: Heavy rain disrupted the Janakrosha Yatre in the city. BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra delivered his speech despite the downpour, expressing outrage against the state government.

The BJP’s Janakrosha Yatre procession was held from Ramanashreshti Park to Gopi Circle, where an open meeting was organized. As the event began, rain started lashing the venue.

Speech Amid Heavy Rain

Despite the heavy rain, BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra continued his speech. Party workers sat in the rain, listening attentively.

Highlights of Vijayendra’s Speech:

• Price rise, Muslim appeasement, and insults to Hindus reflect the Congress government’s mindset. The BJP is leading this Janakrosha Yatre to condemn the government’s actions and will continue its struggle until the government changes its ways.
• This is an anti-farmer government. The hike in diesel taxes has increased the prices of daily essentials, severely affecting farmers who rely on tractors and tillers.

• The rise in milk prices has made it difficult for the poor to afford milk for their children. Since coming to power, this government has been squeezing people’s livelihoods.
• The government, which came to power promising guarantees, is now burdening the public to fulfil those guarantees.
• Government employees are not receiving salaries on time, and the state is increasing taxes on essential goods to fill its coffers. Congress, which came to power with false promises, has become a nightmare for the people.
• Muslim girls receive government aid for marriage, but Hindu girls from poor families are excluded. Is there no poverty among Hindu families? Reserving 4% of government contracts for Muslim contractors is the height of minority appeasement.

Celebrations After the Speech

As Vijayendra concluded his speech in the rain, BJP workers lifted him on their shoulders and celebrated, marching through Gopi Circle despite the downpour.

Lok Sabha members B.Y. Raghavendra, Govind Karajola, and Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLAs S.N. Channabasappa and Araga Jnanendra, MLC D.S. Arun, Former minister Haratalu Halappa, Former MLC S. Rudregowda, BJP District President Jagadish attended the event.
