Shivamogga: Security personnel at Shivamogga Central Prison have apprehended two individuals who attempted to secretly deliver ganja and cigarettes hidden inside biscuit packets to an undertrial prisoner.
Rahil (19) and Taseerulla (19), residents of Bhadravati, had come to Shivamogga Central Prison to meet the undertrial prisoner, Mohammad Ghaus alias Jangli. They brought three packets of biscuits to give to Mohammad Ghaus.
When the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force personnel, in charge of jail security, inspected the biscuit packets, they found objects wrapped in gum tape inside. Upon closer examination, the complaint alleges that one packet contained ganja and another contained cigarettes. A case has been registered at the Tunga Nagar Police Station regarding the incident.
