Shivamogga: Two young men were stabbed with lethal weapons over personal dispute in the Urugadur area of Shivamogga city today. The seriously injured victims, identified as Shabbir and Shahbaz, have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

‘Personal Grudge’ says SP
District Superintendent of Police, G.K. Mithun Kumar, provided information to the media, confirming the incident was a result of a personal issue. According to the SP, the victims were attacked by Shabbir’s brother-in-law, Fardeen, his brother, and a friend.
The root cause of the confrontation appears to be a dispute over a marriage. Shabbir’s sister and Fardeen had married a year ago against the wishes of their families. Recently, Shabbir’s sister and Fardeen had separated. The SP stated that Shabbir and Shahbaz had been threatening Fardeen over this separation, which ultimately led to the stabbing incident.
The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Tunga Nagar Police Station.
